Job Title: Program Lead
Status: Non-Exempt, Part-Time
Pay: $20/hr
Reports to: Program Manager, Family & Youth Enrichment
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Program Director of the Family and Youth Enrichment department, the Program Lead is primarily responsible for the facilitation of programs focused on family and youth enrichment with an emphasis on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Programs include: Afterschool Achievement Academy, Operation Hero, Camp Hero, Operation Little Learner & potential support for special events. Duties include working closely with the Program Coordinators to ensure that program needs are being addressed.

INTERACTION
This position may provide information to donors, potential donors, program participants, volunteers, partners, ASYMCA SD Board and staff, and others from the community.

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE
Minimum: At least two years college level coursework with an emphasis in Social Service, Child Care, Family Resources or Education or comparable course of study, and two years experience in either facilitating children’s programs and/or working in a similar or related capacity for a nonprofit organization. Experience working with adults and children in different life stages. Familiarity with the military population or equivalent socio economic group.
Preferred: B.A. degree from an accredited university or college in Child Development, Social Service, Family Resources, or Education or comparable course of study preferred and four or more years experience in a position requiring similar skill sets. Experience facilitating children’s programming
Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Tools and Equipment Used
Standard office equipment and machines such as telephone, personal computer, multi-function copy machine, and 10-key calculator.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the organization’s insurance carrier standards. Must either posses or be able to obtain a Class B Drivers License. Must either posses or be able to obtain Pediatric and Adult CPR and First Aid Certification.
