Child Care Cooridnator
SUMMARY:
**$1,000.00 Sign-On Bonus**
Responsible for the overall management and supervision of a before and after school program site which has 30 to 100 school –age children enrolled. Document attendance, oversee the administration of the food program and establish working relationship with the school principal, teacher, and staff. Ability to relate well with both children and parents. Responsible for ensuring that the childcare environment is safe and secure at all times. Attend all ASYMCA mandatory training and staff meetings as requested. Must uphold and promote the ASYMCA mission by demonstrating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Main Responsibilities:
· Serve on monitoring team with specific duties of overseeing selected sites for compliance with ASYMCA and Texas State Daycare Licensing program guidelines.
· Planning, supervision, and implementation of the program in accordance with goals, policies, and procedures established by the ASYMCA.
· Provide leadership and guidance to all site staff.
· Establish effective communication with parents and school personnel. · Ensure accurate documentation of attendance, absentees, and emergency information on each child.
· Establish emergency procedures appropriate to the site an in conformity with procedures adopted by emergency service authorities to ensure safety of children.
· Responsible for collection of program fees, issuing receipts, and keeping said fees current.
· Ensure maintenance of up-to-date records on all children enrolled.
· Responsible for management of the Special Nutrition Program. · Coordination of schedule with that of school and calendar.
· Responsible for the orderly arrangement, appearance, décor, and the learning environment at the site.
· Planning and coordination of activities that fit the children’s needs and interest.
- Preservation of quality of supplies, equipment, and materials.
· Maintenance and prompt submission of time sheets for all staff.
· Establish effective communication with the Department of Human Services and the Health Department Representatives.
Education and Experience:
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Previous experience working with children ages 4-12 years old is required.
· Must have a minimum of one year’s experience supervising other staff.
· Must possess the ability to relate to parents, principals, staff, and children and have a positive, creative attitude.
· Must possess a minimum of nine (9) college credit hours in child development and nine (9) college credit hours in business or management.
· Must possess a Child Development Associate Credential or Certified Childcare Professional Credential with six (6) college credit hours in management.
· Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, written or oral, and be a team/mission-oriented player.
· Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
· Must possess CPR/First Aid certification, must remain current throughout employment.
· After employment, must obtain six (6) Continuing Education Credit (CEC) hours in childcare development annually.

Work Environment: The work environment is generally set in a school location, outside activities are required as weather permits. Noise level is moderate daily.
Travel: 20% Travel is expected for this position. Must be able to travel from one facility to another and pick up supplies and visit personnel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
