SUMMARY
Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all programs/classes at the Wellness Center to include Child Watch, Zone, Program Center, Camps and Mother’s Day Out. Implements best practices/procedures at the Wellness Center Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center. Ensure the approved Membership Best Practices are implemented and tracked. Provide staff coaching, training and “Hands On” leadership in the assigned departments. Responsible for ensuring that the Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center is safe and secure at all times. Attend all Armed Services YMCA training meetings, special events and staff meetings as requested. Must uphold and promote the Armed Services YMCA mission by demonstrating the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
· Supports the Executive Director in regard to administration and operational oversight of the Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center at the Wellness Center.
· Guides program design and implementation; provides direction, support, and training to all team leads;
· Coordinates special events and activities at ASYMCA facilities and within the community
· Represents and promotes the ASYMCA within the local community;
Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of the Wellness Center Child Watch, Zone Mother’s Day Out, Children’s Programs, Children’s Camps
· Ensure the Wellness Center Child Watch/Zone meets and/or exceeds Budgeted Program Revenue
· Ensure the Wellness Center Child Watch/Zone meet Overall Budgeted Net Goals
· Schedule, Monitor and Track all Wellness Center Child Watch/Zone Staff Wages to ensure Annual Budget is met
· Assist Executive Director in the development of new Fee for Service Programs/Classes in the Child Watch, Zone, and amps
· Responsible for the security of the Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center
· Ensure Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center is cleaned and maintained at all times
· Responsible for the scheduling, monitoring and tracking all staff wages in the Childwatch, Zone, and Program Center Department per the branch best practices
· Ensure overall branch membership retention is at 60% or better
· Coordinates all programs/classes along with his/her designee
· Responsible for all Cash Handling procedures and Association Policies/Procedures
· Responsible for reporting accounting staff changes and updates to HR in a timely manner for processing (New Hire, PT, FT, Work, Salary Changes, Terminations)
· Helps develop Partners Campaign marketing plan for assigned community, team set-up, coordinates scheduling of meetings and rallies, tracks pledge payments and billing, and tracking Annual Follow Up to the Donor (at least 5-7 times per year)
· Provide leadership/supervision for all Child Watch, Zone, and Program Center staff
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Certifications/Requirements:
The Senior Program Director of Children’s Programs must maintain and have current the following credentials and licensure:
First Aid/CPR Certification
Armed Services YMCA Safety Trainings
State Police Criminal Record Check
F.B.I. Fingerprint Screening
Community Based Knowledge

Work Environment
The work environment is generally set in an office location, sometimes are required to be outside. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel
20% travel is expected. Must be able to travel from one facility to another and pick up supplies and visit personnel as needed.
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Minimum 10 years of management experience, preferably Y or other non-profit
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must have a minimum 10-15 years’ experience supervising role;
· 3-5 years community or recreational center management experience
· Must be able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
· Able to make decisive, sound decisions
· Must possess strong interpersonal skills
· Strong Computer skills
